I guess it's true when they say. "You can't make this shit up". 8O

It'd be my guess that it was the superior nutrition in the Coco Pops that got him addicted and caused the mental meltdown that led to his becoming a member of that cuddly group of radical, murderous, animals known as ISIS in the first place. :P

If he actually comes back because of Coco Pops then we may have finally found the Achilles heel of radicalism.

''I just want my son to come back home.

''Hes not a violent person and would never pose a risk to anyone here.

Just shows how much she doesn't know the kid anymore.

Sometimes, parents can be dangerously deluded.

I can't count the times I've heard 'My kid would never......'. Too many 'parents' have no idea what their kids are up to or capable of. Then again, good parents do end up with asshole kids at times no matter what they do.

Exactly, There are some very good parents who do everything they can and their kids in spite of everything turn out to be complete 100% First Class assholes. Still they parents can at lest admit they their kids ARE assholes when they are.

Yep. you get the same with parents of gangbangers. How their little johnny is a good kid and wouldn't hurt a fly.

Most of the western young people drawn to join ISIS are social losers looking for an identity and to rebel. It's just that in this case it has such catastrophic consequences. They're not raised to be jihadis by their parents, look at that ones that don't come from a Muslim household.
