Americans may be finally looking to an
alternative to reruns, rotten reality shows,
    and third-rate "talent" shows.

Crap...You have no idea how bad TV is down here.
Mindless drivel that panders to Hollywood whores and pimps.
Formerly known as actresses and actors.

What they need is a good dose of the Red Green show and Rent a Goalie, now there is good mindless drivel. LOL!

I've been to America(NE parts and California) and I could definately see how vastly different it was from Canada in terms of culture and social issues... 8O

I wouldn't call it a party, but I'd call it a really weird experience...Like meeting a guy on the street who seems pretty stable, but you know he isn't... :P

Is Flashpoint really a Canadian show or is it just another one of those many "set in New York, filmed in Toronto" deals?

I watched it. Was not impressed. Will give it a few more eps because it is Canadian but man they gotta pick up the pace.

    Based in Canada.

    Canadian Writers, Producers and Actors.

    Set in a Canadian Metropolis.

We've finally invaded with a real Canadian TV show, :)

And if you watched it you'd know it won't make it to 6 shows before they dump it in the toilet.

Best part of the show was the little sniper chick.
