    They've made up a whole bunch of excuses that just don't fly. Maybe it's true taxes and duties are more up here, but when the U.S. can buy a certain product from japan and our dollar is more than theirs it stands to reason we should be able to get that product for a cheaper price than when we bought it a year or two ago.

    Just buy online from U.S. retailers. LLBean, Amazon, etc..

    If the Canadian retailers want to compete, either they will lower prices or go out of business.

    One overlooked aspect is the likelyhood that americans by virtue of their larger volume/market enjoy a better price right off the hop.

    I haven't overlooked that, I also don't expect our prices to be the same. However until we started complaining they never really came down at all. The biggest beef I have with this is with the auto manufacturers. I price out a small pickup with 4x4 and it was 10k cheaper in the U.S. for the exact same model. I'm not willing to pay 10k more for anything and I don't like to be given lame excuses for why I should.
