They have some really good artists come over.

I highly recommend "Sappers clearing a deadfall" Croatia Aug '94 by William MCDonnell. You'll find it in the CWM site.

We had three come out with us on the Toronto a couple years back. A cartoonist, a sculpter and a photographer. Never did see if the sculpter got any ideas into form, the cartoonist did a couple good toons while there and the photographer took a pile of pics but I don't think it was what he expected it was going to be.

All in all it was a pretty cool to have them on board. What they came up with? Who knows ;)

I have a very large copy of the painting autographed by the artist. I'm in the process of tracking down the subjects in it and getting their autographs as well.

    I'm at two.

    Six more to go.

Its too bad you didnt get to see the finished work from a couple of them, after all it is yourself and the rest of the crew that is the inspiration. I would really like to see an exhibition come to the Vancouver Art Gallery. If the opportunity ever arose I would love to be able to participate in a project like that. I guess I will get some ideas and pieces from wherever I get placed by the UNV.
