I got to know him when he was coaching in Winnipeg. Super nice man..........RIP.

He always had a smile on his face. He never had that grumpy, paranoid scowl you see on the faces of most football coaches. He seemed too nice a guy to be a football coach.

Not the first time he broke ribs too. I saw him fall off a BAPS board and break a few.......tough old bird.
