By grain fed, I mean they wander outta the bush down to my uncle's alfalfa field, then wander across the creek, over to the neighbours wheat, hay and oat fields.

Believe me, it's amazing!
I don't remember the last store bought meat we ate (other than chicken, regrettably so, and that should be rectified next year) and hope to keep it that way for a very long time.
We hunt for most, my father raises beef, and another fellow we know raises free range pork. We even get our butter from a lady who still milks her own cow and churns her own fresh butter. It's wonderful.

My dad's supposed to get chickens next year as well, so that will scratch that off the grocery list too.
It's a shame we don't have room for a garden. Fortunately (again), my dad has a HUGE one, and like to share. I managed to get a fair amount froze and canned, so that will help on reducing the amount of store bought crap we have to buy too.
