And don't forget to add that 6.5 billion people heating their homes in the northern hemisphere this winter have absolutely no effect on the climate whatsoever.
All that energy just dissipates into Outer Space. That's why Mars was warmer than Toronto yesterday.

Bullshit. While 80-90% of the world lives in the northern hemisphere, half of that number lives in the tropical or sub tropical areas. The largest concentration of that population is found in India and China. But don't let those facts stop you from frothing.

None of us ever suspected the Wynne-bag was a deep ecologist. Her policy of forcing Ontarians to choose between home heating over starving to death would get at least one thumbs up from Pentti Linkola. "Human filth!" - GWAR/Pentti/Thanos.

Yeah they don't heat their homes, offices or cook there, right?

And thanks for proving my point. We're back to "it's all bullshit now." You can't even stay consistent on one thread. lol.

Dealing with thickness on a daily basis I know when to walk away when it's a futile situation.

BartSimpson BartSimpson:
Because we keep running into shit like this where NASA and etc. are cooking the books to make things look worse than they really are.

Which is why I've included data sets from Japan, the UK, Canada and the NOAA. These sets are all independent from each other, and all show the same trends. That means the NASA data is correct as it's been independently verified. The self reinforcement of independently collected data is one of the strongest things about the scientific method. Even the climate skeptical University of Alabama at Huntsville found the satellite data to be correct, and that data shows what everyone has been saying all along.

But you still think that NASA is 'cooking the books'. :?

BartSimpson BartSimpson:
And then we have to sue the fuckers to get them to release information that under law (FOIA) should be public anyway.

And then when the fuckers get told that their 'science' doesn't stand up to scrutiny they simply refuse to even acknowledge the fact that they've been called out.

And we still both know that request had nothing to do with Science. It was 100% about politics, just like the recently denied request for information about all scientists who worked on climate change studies. Everyone is certain such a request will simply be the list of people who will be 'let go' or have research funding denied in order to 'save money' during the Trump era.

The science had nothing to do with science, it was all about politics so it only makes sense that the response should also focus on the politics of how the 'science' was fabricated.

It'll all be moot in about 31 days when Trump takes control of the government and his appointees start firing the people who refuse to divulge the information they've been ordered to divulge.

Not true. The science was about science, it's the solutions that have become political once the realization what needs to be done set in. Trump, like Harper is seen as taking the normal denier stance that if you don't like the message, fire the messenger and deny there ever was a message.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/ene ... der-trump/

And I also keep posting links to the Berkley Earth project because the founder of it sounds a lot like you, before he formed the project.

$1:

By RICHARD A. MULLER JULY 28, 2012

Berkeley, Calif.

CALL me a converted skeptic. Three years ago I identified problems in previous climate studies that, in my mind, threw doubt on the very existence of global warming. Last year, following an intensive research effort involving a dozen scientists, I concluded that global warming was real and that the prior estimates of the rate of warming were correct. I’m now going a step further: Humans are almost entirely the cause.

My total turnaround, in such a short time, is the result of careful and objective analysis by the Berkeley Earth Surface Temperature project, which I founded with my daughter Elizabeth. Our results show that the average temperature of the earth’s land has risen by two and a half degrees Fahrenheit over the past 250 years, including an increase of one and a half degrees over the most recent 50 years. Moreover, it appears likely that essentially all of this increase results from the human emission of greenhouse gases.

What's obviously wrong with the sum of these two sentences?

Seems the BEST study and Herr Doktor Muller have a bit of a reputation...

https://wattsupwiththat.com/2011/10/27/ ... dr-singer/

The most damning condemnation of Muller and BEST (excerpted) is in the letters section on Nature:

$1:
The BEST (Berkeley Earth Surface Temperature) results in no way confirm the scientifically discredited Hockeystick graph, which had been so eagerly adopted by climate alarmists. In fact, the Hockeystick authors never published their post-1978 temperatures in their 1998 paper in Nature ? or since. The reason for hiding them? It?s likely that those proxy data show no warming either. Why don?t you ask them?

One last word: You evidently haven?t read the four scientific BEST papers, submitted for peer review. There, the Berkeley scientists disclaim knowing the cause of the temperature increase reported by their project. They conclude, however: ?The human component of global warming may be somewhat overestimated.? I commend them for their honesty and skepticism.

BEST is then just a repackaging of the same old shit.

Denied what? Some established need to fear a proposed, coming apocalypse of warming? Yeah we've always denied that.

But what are you denying when you say we didn't? That the alarm in the term "alarmists" - which has been around ever since Gore brought this debate into the public forum refers to something other than alarm over a claimed coming catastrophe, right? Because if that's what you're denying you're the denier.
