Do we start incorporating other cultures values into Canadian Law?

$1:
Under the reference scenario in the latest projections of visible minority population, South Asians and Chinese would continue to be the two largest visible minority groups in 2017, with a population of just over 1.8 million each. With almost as high an immigration level as the Chinese but with a higher fertility rate, the South Asian group would thus catch up with the Chinese group in absolute numbers.

Now it only seems fair in our democratic system that their concerns be met first, based on the percentage of the population, rather than incorporating the disparate views of disparate peoples.

Those the government refer to as First Nations people have become diluted to the point of being unrecognizable as a minority. The criteria to determine who qualifies for the term First Nation and the associated rights and privileges(ie Sentencing Circles) need to be better defined. Just because one of your grandparents was native should not qualify you for that status. I've got friends who are 3/4 white in their ancestry but were able to qualify for Treaty status.

Exactly. And let's not kid ourselves that First Nations are like regular nations. You can't immigrate to or emigrate from a First Nation. Your citizenship is based on genetic qualities and no other factor is considered.

youth crime should involve sentencing circles. No more anonymity. They face those they have wronged.

Completely agree

I agree also, the justice system needs to be overhauled anyways.
This would be a good place to start.
