Do we start incorporating other cultures values into Canadian Law?

Under the reference scenario in the latest projections of visible minority population, South Asians and Chinese would continue to be the two largest visible minority groups in 2017, with a population of just over 1.8 million each. With almost as high an immigration level as the Chinese but with a higher fertility rate, the South Asian group would thus catch up with the Chinese group in absolute numbers.

Those the government refer to as First Nations people have become diluted to the point of being unrecognizable as a minority. The criteria to determine who qualifies for the term First Nation and the associated rights and privileges(ie Sentencing Circles) need to be better defined. Just because one of your grandparents was native should not qualify you for that status. I've got friends who are 3/4 white in their ancestry but were able to qualify for Treaty status.
