So you don't believe she is getting chemo because the journalist said she gets aggressive treatment, she is bald, and has chemo on the same day as CM?

I'm sorry, but your 'fishy' made me REALLY mad. She has cancer, but she is bullshitting because she is bald, but can't be from chemo because the article says so?

That's not what I got from it. Because the article stated that she was not getting chemo until next month, stratos was wondering if there are treatments for cancer, other than radiation/chemo, that would lead to such severe hair loss?

Of course, she might have shaved it prematurely to get used to the idea of being bald, but I don't know.

Interesting thought though. I could understand her reasoning if that is the case.

No, there's not.

So again, what's fishy? She's still sick, still bald, and still cm'ed on the same day as she has chemo.

Maybe, just maybe, she 'just' has 'another' round of chemo on the same date that cm is scheduled (which is something that I find ridiculous), and her treatment started a while ago, and the journalist 'worded it wrong'? Again, NO ONE waits a year (she found the lump in June last year...) with cancer treatment.

Gunnair Gunnair:
JAG only gets involved if charges aren't the big five, though they always suggest consultation. JAG does get involved in sentencing if only to establish a standard.

As for the woman, I should hope there is a lot more involved than the facts presented. Two hours adrift after calling in sick to get to the hospital? Chalk that up to big deal. Worthy of charges and the cost of a court martial? No. The fact they laid electable charges means either there is much more to it or somebody offered some colossally bad legal advice. And now, DND gets dragged through the media muck over something that could have potentially been sorted out administratively.

Agreed. It's all optics and if the story is really true then someone should have their horoscope read. But unfortunately it's now to late to go the administrative route because she's gone public.

But only a group of maniacs of which not everyone in the military is, would allow these charges to proceed if there wasn't something more to the story than what we're getting.

OK in the video report it says she starts 'another' round of chemo therapy, not just starts chemo therapy as the article seems to suggest.

Non Chemo/Radiation forms of Breast Cancer Treatments.

http://www.breastcancer.org/treatment/druglist

http://www.nccn.org/about/news/newsinfo.asp?NewsID=171

I'm would not be suprised if she has been having alternate forms of treatment for the past year and the Cancer has reached the point where Chemo is the only option left.

Brenda Chemo is not the only way to treat Cancer.

Only thing is the 2hr period of time. Wich wont come out till the CM. I still don't get why she chose the CM over the lesser forms of Judical hearings. Maybe the Canadian Military Judical system is way diff then the US in this regard.

Did you click your own links?
The first medication in your 'drugs list':
http://www.breastcancer.org/treatment/druglist/abraxane
$1:
Uses: Abraxane typically is used to treat advanced-stage breast cancer and usually is given:

in combination with other chemotherapy medicines
after other chemotherapy medicines given after surgery have stopped working

That one IS chemo.
I didn't care to read the rest.

So it was the writer/artical that screwed it up. Can't watch the video, does it say when she started Chemo?

Also, hormone therapy won't cause hair loss. Usually, hormone therapy is given AFTER cancer is done with, to help not getting it again.

Not all of them are used with Chemo. Chemo is basicly the last resort for treating Cancer. There are many other forms of Cancer treatment then Chemo. I would have always thought surgey was but found out a few years ago that Chemo is.
