I consistently work 48 to 60 hour work weeks. The French would have a bloody heart attack if they worked my schedule.

funny I see a trend going on here, liberal types work a lot less. lazy ?

I put in at least 12 hours a day.

my last billing in OZ was 417 hours in 27 days, enough to kill the average liberal :-)

Wow, the French will have to give up their traditional August national vacation with this.

Good. They need to work for a living.

A friend of mine just came back from France and he was saying about the French taking an entire month off has a drastic effect on the rest of Europe as other countries then change their rates for that month because eveyone in France is on holiday, glutting the market. That and don't bother shopping in the afternoon, everything is closed then too. Pathetic really.

Why? They are entitled to live their lives as they want to. Imagine if Canada decided to adopt a 35 hour work week only to be derided by the US.

While other countries may be put out by France its not their country.

True, but in this case it is fair play as the French for years have derided everyone else for being uncultured workaholics while they enjoy six weeks paid vacation every year. After 40+ years of their gloating forgive me if it is my turn.

I thought you were part of the turn the other cheek crowd?

Now, I'm pleased as punch that people who arrogantly looked down their noses at us poor slobs who worked 40+ hour weeks.

Still, they are perfectly justified in doing it and other countries be damned.

I see a trend going too. People work longer for the same pay. And some 'tards think that's a GOOD idea!

Remember the part where I said I wasn't a very good Christian? Yeah, this would be one of those areas. Slap me on the cheek and I'll kick you in the balls so hard you'll have two new eyes. 8O <--- would look kinda like this.

Oh, I've never had a problem with their choices, not at all. I just didn't care for the sneering they did at anyone who didn't emulate them.

Personally I want to work less. I would be quite happy with a four day work week at reduced pay and am seriously considering moving to a part time micriobiology position. I make almost 10 dollars more an hour but its high part time. Unfortunately those positions always go to the most senior people and I'm 20 years away from that.

I seem to be one of the few people who like shift work. My best hours were 12 hour shifts because you were never more then 3 days away from the weekend. 8)
