andyt andyt: They did it in several cities in the east as well no? That's what we've been arguing about for the last week or what have you. No, you have been all for immediate action The only conclusion I can arrive at after asking simple Eddie type questions, making the information available for you to peruse is that you are

Absolutely. You've made no case why action is warranted now, but not when the insurgents were taking over more and more areas in the first place. All that does is cow the part of the population that supports the west, because they have no protection and allow the insurgents to dig in.

andyt andyt: They did it in several cities in the east as well no? That's what we've been arguing about for the last week or what have you. I will give some info for Sir, Odesa is a city with multiculturalism, much more than even Kyiv. Ukrainians, ethnic Russians, Jews, Moldovans, Serbians, Greeks etc. In that city there were few pro-russians organisations. We were not paying to them attention, they were like your Bloc Québécois in parliament - clowns to laught on. So Russians made that action: they brought few man from Russia and few Odesa inhabitans who wanted to make money. They made that walk and believed that members of this organisations will start rioting with them, and they were very surprised when even members of this organisations were runnig follow them along the street with shout "come here bitch". Russians plan ruined in Odesa, ruined so sudden that cops got documents of people who were taking part in it. So for today Russia has a big pants of crap, and everyone can say who smells. Counquering south of country will be impossible using Crimea plan. So sir, I would like to make you happy, but Monkey will be fighting yet, and fighting good.

Well, good to hear. Good to hear Putin made a mistake, and that you are finally for Ukraine defending itself.
Since it took Odessa for you to change your mind, I can only assume that you don't really give a shit about Eastern Ukraine and were happy to see it go, that's why you had every excuse under the sun for doing nothing. The only problem there is that it would leave you with a state that doesn't have much to offer to its citizens or the world. And again, Turchynov seems to see it differently than you, since he also has troops actually engaging the insurgents in the East.

You did not know. You have no clue as to the many levels this is being played upon. You would rush in, little penis in your hand, waving it. You know the line- Fools rush in.................. Let me think on this opinion of mine and get back to you. OK, I am back. Considered your points and have arrived at this conclusion

So you must endure my every crooked English word! Every! I'am your little internet punishment here for all your sins Having lived in other countries I realize English can be a 3rd, 4th or 5th language or more. I have no issue understanding your points. It is good to get info from on the ground. Does not happen often I have chatted with a number of Ukrainians that I meet thru work. A minority of ethnic Russians want Russia to step in. Most others want Fuk all to do with Russia. The above is only anecdotal. I copied a definition, not to insult but to clarify the meaning. Anecdotal: based on personal observation, case study reports, or random investigations rather than systematic scientific evaluation: anecdotal evidence.

Goober911 Goober911: BRAH BRAH: Ukriane is slipping into a full blown out civil war and the west will be dragged into it. No, not yet. Thousand of irregulars, also crooks,, Russian special troops on the ground. But as I mentioned on a number of occasions, the majority of the ethnic Russians in Eastern Ukraine want Fukall to do with Russia. They also want nothing to do with NATO. Prefer to stay out of it. Same can be said for substantial number in Western Ukraine. Want to trade with both. It's going to happen.

The full blown civil war, Russia stepping in, or Ukraine regaining control? The big issue only a few weeks away is the election.

PostFactum PostFactum: We were not paying to them attention What? Wait a minute. Putin himself talked about "Nova Rossa" (New Russia) being Eastern and southern Ukraine. Didn't someone realize "southern Ukraine" means Odessa? And on 2014-04-30 08:40:59 Winnipeg time (16:40:59 Kyiv time), you posted... PostFactum PostFactum: Russian activity on Ukrainian territory for today. Notice that level 5 stuff in Odessa oblast.

A power struggle has broken out among pro-Russian leaders in Ukraine: They're fighting for control of a country that doesn't exist yet. o sooner had the leaders of the so-called "People's Republics" of Donetsk, Luhansk, and Odessa declared the return of "Novorossiya" ("New Russia") earlier this month than they began fighting among themselves. Though they agree that the entire southeastern portion of Ukraine should join their self-proclaimed breakaway nation, they are divided over who should lead this new government. Yet all week, leaders of the pro-Russian movement in Odessa have been bombarded with calls from concerned friends and commanders of the region's self-defense units asking the same pressing question: Who the hell is Valery Kaurov, and why are Russian news agencies calling him "the president of the People's Republic of Novorossiya"? ("Novorossiya," is the historical term used by the tsars for the south and east of present-day Ukraine, which was conquered by the Russian empire in the 18th century.)

This 2 signs mean acts of attack on pro Ukrainian meeting and act of pro-Russian meeting. There were near 70 people and we were not paying attention at past. They were there before Russian aggression. Now cops check every member of pro-russians.

Yea, but but but... I saw it coming, so didn't those in power? Then again, I saw 9/11 coming, 6 months before it happened. So did a lot of others, but George W. Bush wouldn't listen. Ok, next prediction, watch out in Dnipropetrovsk. Your map doesn't show much, but I think Putin wants Yuzhmash.
Ukraine police did the right thing in Odessa. Can't take sides regarding protesters. However, when anyone captures a government building, the police have to act.
