Missed that other one of 3 million plus as you rush to the 1 litre one, eh?
Missed the other spill locations eh? Do the math.
I think I get the math JJ.
I did a search in the article on the word "litre". I see one mention of 7 leaks over the 38 years at one facility totaling about 3,000 litres.
5 spills over the years at another facility totaled 1,824 litres.
It appears the largest spill over the years was one outside of Calgary in 2011 of 4000 litres.
Those are the ones they mention, so best guess is they are what is significant. OK, so if you calculate that over 38 years then a litre a day is being generous. Most of these appeared to have happened at the facilities outside of towns. I'm guessing loading accidents.
In any case, amount of oil spilled in accidents isn't what the big crybaby binge is even really about. The pipeline has always been there. It used to go East to West bringing conflict oil from people who hate us westward from the ocean. However now some people have suggested it might make more sense to use our own oil, and send it down the same pipeline from West to East.
This apparently is a problem for somebody? Who, I wonder? And who would have the power to sic the media whores from W-5 on the guys who want to use Canadian oil?
